Tom Beyna joined the firm in 2022 as a Managing Director on our Institutional Sales and Client Service team, where his primary responsibility will be partnering with GLA’s public fund clients nationwide. Tom is a former police officer who dedicated 25 years of his life to serving and protecting others. He began his law enforcement career with the city of Evanston and then served the city of Chicago as a Chicago Police Officer for 23 years. As an active police officer, Tom was elected to the position of Trustee of the Policemen’s Annuity and Benefit Fund of Chicago. In this role, he was actively involved in the daily operations and management of the Fund. Tom also served as the Board’s President as well as the Chair of the Investment Committee.

Tom received his BS in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University and MBA in Finance from Saint Xavier University. He lives on the northwest side of Chicago and has three children. Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his family and coaching baseball. He also has a passion for riding motorcycles and is always interested in finding the best roads to ride.
